Can't say I've ever had this happen to me when bombing gvs or maybe I didn't notice?  :lol hurri d is a lot of fun against gvs especially swiping your own sides kills at a spawn camp  :D GV has the potential to be exciting but any time you spawn into some action theres about 15 guns pointed waiting for you even if you make a run for it you usually don't get far  :lol Which leads me to ask the question what is the thrill of 9-10 camping a spawn?  :headscratch: I just don't get it granted your there to kill GVs appearing but doesn't having to compete with 10 of your team mates not cheese you off?  :headscratch:
(this is a serious question for GVers btw)

Same as the bomb and bail guys or the dude that bails out of an undamaged fighter when you out fly him and it dawns on him he's gonna die.

yeah it is, and I think its definitely gamey, which is why I wont do it. if I hear bombs whistling in I'll take my chances - if I'm in a wirble and someone has the nuts to dive in on me they deserve the chance of a kill, likewise when I do the same. In an A20 its not too bad because you've got so many bombs, in most attack planes where you've spent 10mins lugging just 2 or 3 bombs over its really annoying seeing a gv disappear after you've released.

easiest answer is to have a small towering delay - 5 or 10s maybe - so that any bombs already in the air can finish their fall. and before I get accused of being a gv hater, yes it should apply to aircraft too :)

not necessarily, if theres friendly gvs moving into a vbase I'll try to kill any dug-in tanks blocking their path (CAS) and let the gvers decide if they want to drop hangars, camp hangars or just battle it out. vbase/airbase or vhs up/dn makes no difference to the gameyness of the gv instatower.

Wait.  You lugged your bombs 10 minutes to kill a defensless GV to pad your score and now you're PO'd that he wouldn't oblige?  I'm sorry, if that wasn't the case then either A. you'de hit the hangers or B. the hangers would already be down, the GV would tower and you'de have accomplished your objective of getting him off the field.

Which leads me to ask the question what is the thrill of 9-10 camping a spawn?  :headscratch: I just don't get it granted your there to kill GVs appearing but doesn't having to compete with 10 of your team mates not cheese you off?  :headscratch:

In a good spawn camp there's plenty of kills to go around.  The "thrill" is massive numbers of kills in a very short period of time to pad your score while totally frustrating the other guys.  Once you have the range down it's hard to miss on the first shot.  Even with 10 campers walking away with 10-25 or more kills isn't uncommon.

Stop the BS "tower out" club members from depleting all of the bombs from attackers by using a loophole in the game. I seem to remember HTC fixing the under the bridge bug that made it impossible to kill a GV backed up under a bridge while still allowing them to kill other GV's. It's not a matter of cowardice, it's a loophole that should be fixed like all the other bugs to stop people from taking advantage.

The issue with not being able to damage a tank under a bridge was a bug that needed to be fixed.  Towering out in a GV to avoid being bombed isn't a bug and doesn't need to be fixed.  It sucks but like HO's it's part of the game, learn to live and deal with it.

your making alot of assumptions here, mostly wrong. most gvs arent defenceless, wirbles and osties definitely arent. not sure how padding score comes into it, my motivation for most sorties has nothing to do with score, in fact given the choice I generally target wirbles just for the challenge. hangars, hangars ... dont see the relevance. you cant assume my objective, could be different every sortie.

anyways this is all irrelevant to the idea that instatower gvs are gamey and irritating for the same reasons as buffs that bail after you've spent 10mins climbing up to them, or fighters that alt-f4 the moment you get the drop on em.

It's simple, don't bomb the Gv that's on the concrete. Get the ones that will register proxy kills for towering out. Take it from me, I'm a triple ace EGGTARD!

Yes I very much enjoy the NOOBS that cannot kill you with a tank and then come back to bomb you on the concrete. Now since you have been out roaming in the woods and killed them all and driven back to the vbase where they meet you with their bombs they want to also prevent you from landing those kills. NOOBS.

Thats all I have to say about that.  :D

Couple of takes...

There are some in the game who can't dogfite or gv very well and the only way they can get their name in lights is to go over to a gv base that has no air dar bar and egg those gv's that up to defend.  They may not be the majority.  Some do it for "payback" because they went over earlier in a gv and got killed by a more experienced gv'er.

Others do it because the game itself encourages it.  There is a monthly award for Top "Attack" mode players.  Some guys I see all they do all tour is up heavy to kill gv'ers so they can hope to get that "honor"

Aw well...it's their $15 bucks.  Sorry, I do not chase that "honor".

So if someone goes and bombs a GV that is defending the Vbase, the one in the plane is doing so because they lack both skill in flying and in GVs?
