bombing GV's at Vbases

Couple of takes...

There are some in the game who can't dogfite or gv very well and the only way they can get their name in lights is to go over to a gv base that has no air dar bar and egg those gv's that up to defend.  They may not be the majority.  Some do it for "payback" because they went over earlier in a gv and got killed by a more experienced gv'er.

Others do it because the game itself encourages it.  There is a monthly award for Top "Attack" mode players.  Some guys I see all they do all tour is up heavy to kill gv'ers so they can hope to get that "honor"

Aw well...it's their $15 bucks.  Sorry, I do not chase that "honor".

not necessarily, if theres friendly gvs moving into a vbase I'll try to kill any dug-in tanks blocking their path (CAS) and let the gvers decide if they want to drop hangars, camp hangars or just battle it out. vbase/airbase or vhs up/dn makes no difference to the gameyness of the gv instatower.

I agree that I will also bomb campers.

If we have friendly gv's attacking I make them my priority over gv's on the base.

I bomb them because they are there ... also, if you want a good "attack" score, and are after "score", bombing single GVs is not the way to go ... ludicrous at best.

I use a Lanc to Kill GV's whenever the odds aren't balanced. If Porkers are hammering a base with an onslaught of 3 squads of bombers, 3 wirbles 2 tanks and an M# w/ troops. & we have 1 GV at twn 2 ftrs in the air...? YES! "Here I come to save the DAY! Mighty Mouse is on his way!" also parodied by Andy Kaufman on SNL. I killed 4 GV's in one pass and the Porker eventually got bored and left the fight to a few hard cores....The way it should be.

I've been playing AH for a number of years now, and I can't recall this happening when I dive on a gv.  Maybe it's just me.

Imagine the whines if gv'ers couldn't bail quickly....

It's very interesting how people on here divide their different feelings about what's acceptable/ethical etc. I know It really peeves me when someone is sitting at a V base and cuts their internet connection as soon as they are turreted/killed/tracked, then logs back on a pops up with a new tank and you don't get a kill credit.     Oh well, I won't do anything I personnally think is cheating/taking advantage of loop-holes, because it circumvents the REAL challenges. My 2 Cents

Actually, you DO get a kill if they alt/f4 or whatever.

It sometimes takes a min or 2 but you do get it.
