Resurve a call sign
« on: December 17, 2009, 11:24:20 PM »
I'd like to have an ability to reserve a call sign. The way we have it now is if you don't fly for a few month you to still have to pay $15 a month or cancel your account and give someone else and opportunity to take your name. I would like to see HTC allow us to pay $5 a month (or something like that) and reserve a call sign so that when you actually have time to fly in AH2 you know 100% that no one took your name and you'll be able to be flying as who you were before and not some noob.
What do you guys thing?

P.S. No, I'm not planing on going away for a half year or anything like that, just want this feature to be available to all the people who don't have time to fly.

I'm curious how many people think their handle is worth $5 a month but not $15 a month.

I heard that if you call they may save it for a few months for free.  but dont quote me on that.  why dont you call them first and see what the answer would be on saving call sign.

semp
you dont want me to ho, dont point your plane at me.

With the way HTC handles this with many customers, has always been very fair. In the past I have had squaddies request a new ID (or their old one) and HTC usually delivered the goods. Obviously there can only be one Maverick...or MiG.

 :O

I think there is (or was) a way in the game that you can already change your handle and it results in the change but you do lose all perkies and such related to the old handle. I couldn't find it in the "Help". This was a command to change Case only .changeid NewGameID    (Only case may be changed)

When you leave can someone else take your name? If so that is what I want to able to reserve.

There is a time limit and I am not certain what that is, where the GameID is "held" or frozen. I'd say contact HTC and ask them if they can help you out. Again, they are good folks and understand and try to accomodate players and the community as a whole.
