Aircraft for AH2
« on: December 20, 2009, 06:23:58 AM »
I recently visited borders and came across a book titled, "Aircraft anatomy of WW2(Tech drawings of key aircraft".  It has a number of aircraft such as late war IL's and Tbm's etc.  Here is a list of some aircraft I know have been asked for and some that havent been:

Ju87B-2(armed with wing mounted 20mm MG 151 cannon for strafing)
Gloster Meteor
F6F-5P
IL-2M3
BF109K-4(with underwing dondola configuration)
P-61B Black Widow
Supermarine Griffon Spitfire (4-20mm cannon configuration)

Could you please provide some more details on the less well known of those (e.g. the IL-2M3, and the F6F-5P)?   :salute
Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

There is a lot more to the P-61 than just being the one of the first night/all weather fighter for the US.  I suggest that you do some research.

We already have the IL2M3.  The IL2M3 was the two seat version of the IL2.  The F6F-5P is a photo hellcat.  The only difference it and the standard F6F-5 is the camera.  Never knew the 109K-4 to carry the underwing gondola.  I didn't think it had provisions for carrying them.  The P-61 was not America's first night fighter, I believe some early P-38's and the P-70 came before the 61.  I don't think HTC will ever give any spitfire the 4 x 20mm option regardless of the mark.  It already has a good armament package the way it is, C or E wing.  Giving it quad 20's would make it extremely overrated in the game environment.

Gloster Meteor No more jets please :aok
F6F-5P
IL-2M3 That's the version we have
BF109K-4(with underwing dondola configuration) The K-4 never carried gondolas. The point of the MK 108 was that gondolas were not needed
P-61B Black Widow
Supermarine Griffon Spitfire (4-20mm cannon configuration) The Spitfire MK XIV is Griffon engined. Please no quad Hispanos for the Spitfire

Unless they renamed PNG to "Hmm" then I don't see how this is possible.

I researched the K4 awhile back and they came from the factory with the gondie attached,IIRC JG27 were disappointed to see their new K4's arrive with the gondies and promptly removed them!

The wings have the attachment points so I see no reason to not include them in a perked ords pack.

Now were they ever used in combat?? That is something I could not find and I assume the answer to be no,thus the reason they arent available ingame!
