Movie maker problems
« on: December 22, 2009, 04:14:45 PM »
I've only made a couple of films back when I had xp. I setup the shots, used fraps to make 'em avi, then dropped them in to movie maker.

I'm using windows live movie maker with win7, and all hell is breaking loose. Random avi's get corrupted or suddenly lose vid, picture quality sucks. I tried reinstalling and also installing other versions from microsoft, they either dont work or......well they dont work. I know the avi files aren't corrupted because they play fine. All I want is to trim the clips down, add some transitions and titles, thats it.

any ideas,help or suggestions?

WMM says so,yes. Its a random corruption, tried inserting one at a time or as a job lot. Even when i got to a point where they were all in and ready for trimming, I saved and reloaded only to get random corruption again.

In this case, the clips towards the end wont work, also the play back screen is showing white only during certain parts
