Update: laptop runs AH stable now!

I was messing around with turning some services off to try and free up some resources and found out that if I turn off "themes" for some reason AH boots right up! Just for giggles I tried turning off other services but leaving "themes" on, and no dice.. same problem. AH only boots up with "themes" turned off. weird?? Anyone have an explanation for this one? Also.. does anyone know a good way to optimize windows 7. Right now the computer is eating up about 897mb of resources, but I remember vista was using about 500mb of ram to run. Windows 7 is suppose to be more efficent right? I'm sure there is something that I don't understand... HELP!!!!

Disabling Themes also disable the Aero desktop.  Not a bad idea for a laptop anyway.
