Country demarcations on map
« on: December 28, 2009, 05:56:07 PM »
Proposal:
Each sector on the map would have an indication of what country the sector "belongs to."   That is, who owned the closest base it at the start of the map.

Possible Implementations:
Dynamic - The sector numbers would be colored the same as the enemy base icons.
Static - A colored border around each sector

Goals:
1- More immersion.  Players would be fighting for "their" territory.
2- Help curtail round-robin base-taking, where Bishops take Rook bases while Rooks are taking Knight bases &etc.

You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.

failing to see the point sorry.......

given the fact that weve used the same tired maps for years........ I think most people could tell you base for base what zone  is what without even looking at the maps

true since most of the time we just fight to get whichever base is closer to one of the bases we own.  dont matter if it was originally one of ours of one of theirs.  I see your point shiv but just wonder if most people wont really care  :salute.
