I hope HTC will take a step back

As far as the plane set is concerned I mean ...

What I'd like to see, after the Hog (ok, ok, dont shoot me) is a BIG step back toward a VERY early war plane set.

I think that a Blitzkrieg-Sitzkrieg, North Africa-Malta, BoB, CBI plane set could be the real HTC ace in the sleeve. Not even WB with his, say, more than 50 a/c has a complete early war plane set.

You could have: D-520, Morane-Saulnier, P36, He-111, Do-17, Blenheim, Fiat CR42, Gladiators, Macchi C200, Wellington and all the early war Jap planes (forgive me, I dont remember more a/c).
All never modeled before by any sim. Oh my! I'm salivating ....

Greets,
Gatt

Or they could do the opposite, and have the Sea Fury, Tempest V, F8F Bearcat, Ta-152, Do335, etc... "never before modeled in any sim."

In either case, the point is well-taken that this is an opportunity to do something _different_.

Not to mention Fokkers, I-16's, I-153's, Brewster Buffalos, etc, of the Finnish conflict. Then there's Spanish Civil War, the list goes on.

Ditto for early plane set.  Just make sure there's a little something for everyone.

However, you people realize that HTC hasn't even begun to fine tune the FM yet, right?  Right now, they're just making sure that the engine starts, runs relatively smoothly, has the base performance specs they were hoping for, and holds the needed potential for modular expansion and modification.  As soon as they're satisfied that the foundation holds solid they'll hit on all the things we're begging for.

Leonid, my friend,

I forgot Operation Barbarossa   probably one of the best theaters as far as mid-low level combat is concerned ...

Good point Duckwing,

I'm aware that during the blitz/sitzkrieg the 109E will have a substantial fighters v/s fighter advantage, but Ju87, He-111, Dorniers and Ju88A (early variants) will fall prey of Hurry MkI, D-520 and P-36.

Bf109E-3/-4, Bf109F-2/-4, Fiat CR32/42 and Macchi C.200/C.202 will have nice fights over the desert and Malta with Gladiators, P40, Hurry MkI/II, Spits MkI-II (and later MkV).

Polikarpov, Lagg, Yak and MiG could tangle with early 109E/F during Barbarossa.

Early Jap fighters could clash with Chinese driven, USNAF and RAF fighters.

Finns fighters could use their Brewster and Fiat to fight Russian AF.

Yes, we need (right) early war medium/light bombers from LW, RAF, Jap, Regia Areonautica, French and Russian AF.

I'll even fly the CR42 over der Kanal during the crazy Regia Areonautica expedition during the BoB ....
