X-52 Lost Y axis

X-52 only 2 months old and now no Y axis.  I uninstalled it, reinstalled, downloaded new drivers, but nothing.  Great I guess the switches are out Unbelivable.

X-52s seem to be hit or miss.  My 1st one went bad in three weeks.  This one I've had for 3 months and no trouble yet (fingers crossed  :pray).

I would gladly get a CH but I just spent the money for this one.  For a hundred + dollars It shouldnt break in two months.

Within 6 months my X52 lost the trigger, 2 hats and 2 buttons on the Stick.   The throttle itself went and I was forced to use the thumb slider.   I finally ponied up and got tired of "adjusting for another button lost".    Before the X52 I went through two X45's. 

I'll never recommend Saitek.

I must have gotten a 'holy stick' cause I've had mine for 4-5 yrs and not a single problem yet. Rarely do I even need to re-calibrate.

the only ch stick I ever owned  went out the same day I opened the package. guys please stop "buy a ch" its funny.    he asked for help on an x52.  I have had my x52 for 2 years and still works.  when it goes out (if it ever does) I'll try ch again (not).

texican are you sure your y axis is programmed to the stick? are you using the sst software by any chance?

texican are you sure your y axis is programmed to the stick? are you using the sst software by any chance?

More than likely his Pot went out on it.    :aok    The shoddy Quality Control of Saitek eliminates any common sense approach to their lineup.

I had this problem, with mine, or at least one of my axis was completely messed up.  I took off the baseplate of the joystick (4 screws) and followed the wires from that axis to the board.  I disconnected the wires from the board (just a small plastic clip, 3 wires in it if my memory serves me right), cleaned it lightly, and reconnected it.  Problem was solved.  It's worth a shot to take a look.

If he bought it and under warranty I wouldn't be taking it apart, take it back to where you bought it, or warranty serveice.

Same with mine, also had to tighten the screw that holds the sensor in place as it was kinda loose and causing stuttering.

i'm on my 3rd 1..... bring it back where you bought it....i took the last 1 off the shelf i told the salesmen better order more 1 little thing wrong with this i'll be back.

Seriously on the CH bandwagon, the 80's look has to go before I will even touch the stuff. Had two Saiteks for four years now, both still working and only had minor problems after two years. As far as the OP, you should have a 90 day warranty regardless of purchase location. If you got it from Best Buy etc it may come with a 1 year warranty. I got the upgrade to two years for 15 bucks or so.

Exhaust those options before you take it apart and void any warranty.....
