I fly in Fighter Ace 1.5 and am looking for a new game with which (unlike FA2.0 which I cant run on my system) I can fly bombers and other planes. If you play Fighter Ace, I am Gen. ROE_Yoda. But I was just wondering, from what I see you can actually "pilot" or "drive/command" the tank(s) ??

Please let me know, if so Im definatly getting a sub here.

Welcome ,Dein...

Yes, here you can drive a Panzer IV, or a M16 Halftrack. More vehicles are fer sure on the pipeline, as new planes...

The PzIV is a wonderful machine. To drive it, start the engine (E key), and change gears (Q gear up, W gear down). You have 6 gears forward, a N gear, and a reverse gear. To accelerate the tank, press forward in the  stick. To brake, press backwards.
The tank's top speed is  25Mph or so, and remember to not go into heavy slopes!!!.

You can gun the tank, changing to the gunner position (2 key), you have a zoom (Z key) view, in wich you can zoom out and in ([ and ] keys). There are two kind rounds:AP and HE, each one with its ballistics. The range marks on the gun view help you to aim. You have also a coaxial 7.92mm machine gun,and a (for now) fixed 7.92mm MG on the hull (that you can fire from driver's seat).

The M16 is driven like the panzer, but has only 4 gears and it is much faster. IT has much less armor, too, but its 4 50 cal MGs make it a feared AAA vehicle.

Well I hope this helps. Welcome agan and have fun!!! see you in the skys...or on the land

Hi ya Yoda,
You'll find some FA converts here.

The Musketeers are here as well as the Tiger Squadron (TS) and the FA Devil Dogs (DD).

You find the squadmembers by looking at the roster and looking at the squad section listed next to the players name and country while you are online.

Give us a shout when you are online, and welcome.  This is really a great sim!

Just a guess, but do you have a Direct 3D compatible video card?  It's required for Aces High, and I bet that Fighter Ace 2 required it as well.

...and let me introduce our "Welcome Wagon" president, Wardog! (clap, clap, clap) hehe

Don't mind Wardog, he's a good guy.

I agree with DMF, sounds like you may want to check the hardware specs, and make certain you have DirectX 7.0a or above (assuming there is anything above).

Welcome to AH, and drop by the TA if you want some familiarization rides!
