Own Squad Battel Cruiser
« on: December 30, 2009, 06:49:59 PM »
moin

i have an idea.
what would you thing if every squad with some numbers of pilots is able to spawn an own battel cruiser and control it during the tur.
if no one is on-line, the cruiser is placed in a selected port.
if the Cruiser is in action and the last member of the squad goes offline the cruiser would return to his home port.

only squad members are allowed to control it or to jump into the guns. but joiners are allowed.

this would rise the see traffic and the see fighting fun.

and i think its nice to have something of your own you have to look at :-)

hope you like this idea, so we will see this some day

I don't understand.  Besides being a large ship, what use would it be?

it is a nice artilery base or you can attack cv formations alon or with other squads as a task force :-).

for example.: the first of my squad who is online would start the cruiser out of the port to a hotspot. a hour later everyone of us is online and we will fight with it :-)

What use would it be? A battleship or battlecruiser would be a nice plump target for aircraft strikes, viz. Prince of Wales, Repulse, Arizona, Yamato, Musashi, Tirpitz, etc.

It's usually Mess[hall] for ratings[enlisted men], Wardroom for officers. Please model them on Royal Navy lines so we wouldn't suffer the horrors of 'dry' US Navy ships. <hic>

Splice the mainbrace.

Spent 6 years in the Navy.  If you have ever ate their food, you will know that "mess hall" is a better descriptor! :rofl

the prince of wales was sunk by the bismark
thoagh true battle ships and battle cruisers are big targets for aireal (can't spell the previous word) assualts and not only that the have to stay farther away from land because of their size
destroyers however don't  have the same problems but some new ones aswell  1) destroyer don't have the cruisers 8" armament and the battle ships 11"-16" armament but the destroyers have 5" guns that can blast out over 3,000 ponds of HE and 1,000 of AA per minute
now for a problem with  the battleships 2)if the battleships they put in game are iowa class the the 16" guns turents are three-gun not triple tthree gun turents can aim their guns seperatly. I rest my case :salute :airplane:

Newly-commissioned Prince of Wales was hit by fire from the Bismarck when the latter switched targets after sinking the battlecruiser Hood but survived to fight another day. Prince of Wales and Repulse together formed Force Z and both were sunk off the east coast of Malaya on 10th December 1941 by G3M 'Nell' and G4M 'Betty' bombers of the Imperial Japanese Naval Air Force.
