Are you talking about Fraps?  If so, you need to be a bit more specific with your problem.  Like does the program bring up a crash window box etc.

The free version of fraps has a 30 sec limitation for film, sounds like that's your problem :)

You can record longer than 30 seconds, its just that beyond the 30 second mark the video turns to black and white.

What I meant was I won't record additional 30 sec clips without reloading the file/restarting the .exe file.

From those brief details you're either on a laptop or a computer with a built in video card (not a dedicated one).  This can be a big performance problem for recording in fraps and may be the reason you're having these issues.  You may be able to play Aces High just fine, but you have to remember that Fraps is a resource hog and basically you're recording raw video playing off a video game.  So not only does your computer have to process playing the game, but it has to record video on top of it.

If you haven't watched this yet, I made this tutorial on the basics of movie making.  It covers hardware requirements for moving making:

I have this problem from time to time...I find that if I close both fraps and AH film viewer...and then re-open...film viewer first ( why...I don't know just has to be)...it sorts the problem.....

By the way fulmar...nice tutorial...I'm now having the trouble of ...being impatient...wanting to press a button and have the film done.....hahaha.....

The shots setup can be very frustrating, but your vid really helped...sorry for slight hijack...please return to the blue text

No, Desk-top, Upgraded video card & driver, original driver/card disabled, it runs all other video just fine. I have done lots of "Brain Draining dual duty stuff without a complete failure. It's either the program or my System Suite 9 thinking it's some kind of mal-ware, etc., & blocking it.
