Dragon Age:Origins
« on: January 03, 2010, 01:27:17 AM »
As the sun welcomed a new day in the Wilds, we ..

..Alistair, Sten, Wynn, and I, ..Fuddthoo the Mage and Grey Warden,
..confronted Flemeth.

It was a fight to the death and she came near to ending us all,
yet at the end, Alistair put the steel to her in a feat of daring that took our breath.

Why are you beating up on that poor innocent dragon?
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

I haven't finished it yet, but I hear that's one of the toughest fights in the game. I finally did it with Shale, Wynne, and Leliana. Shale went in close to keep her occupied while Leliana and my P/C hammered her with ice arrows, and Wynne supported.

Used a similar strategy against Gaxkang the Unbound, although I added Alistair to my archers and didn't carry a mage. That one wasn't so much tough as it was grueling, and it sucks because he's virtually COMPLETELY immune to any CC spell.

There's something just...wrong about Wynne being in the overly-sexy fantasy mage robes in that pic.

I found High Dragon most difficult, even over Archdemon. May be because she was first dragon I slay, and I didnt know best way to fight it.

btw, finish game just today, it was quite exhausting at the end.  :o

The High Dragon is one of the toughest fights in the game.

I found the strongest character to be a Blood Mage with little willpower and full health. It is a little tough until you hit level 8 or so, but by far the most powerful. He was able to solo Flemeth and walks right through the whole game.

The Arcane Warrior is the strongest of all the classes, with the Blood Mage coming second and the Soul Reaver bringing up the end.

I don't know I got the game, Graphics are pretty intense but I really don't like the control setup, don't get me wrong I like the way you set "tactics" for your party members, I Think it would be way more immersive if you had to use the controls when you took over a member, I want to swing my own damn sword through my own fire ball, it would be way better if it was like that IMO.

to me it takes out all the fun when "your" Character does his moves "automatically"

Ink,

You can turn off tactics and control everything manually. That's what I do.
