Plane crash near Palwaukee airport
« on: January 05, 2010, 05:48:31 PM »
This afternoon a Learjet 35 cargo plane owned by Royal Air Freight crashed during landing at Palwaukee airport.  Both pilots were killed, there were no passengers.

Local NBC news reporter and pilot Phil Rogers speculates that it stalled while correcting during the turn from base to final approach.  He was able to watch the radar video of the approach.  He states weather was near perfect with little to no wind and the jet was at the proper speed but seemed to have missed the turn and tried to correct.  Again this is only speculation.

My condolences to the families.
