Is AH going to feature Jeeps?  One armed with a light MG could be great for defending a field against troops.  A Jeep would also be useful for recon (to see if there is a tank behind the next hill, etc.).  A relatively light vehicle would be a nice break from the truck-like M16 and Panzer IV.

Right now I don't think a jeep would add much to game play, it can't do much a halftrack can't do, only with more firepower.  Cross country speed of the M-16 and the Jeep were pretty close.  A fast armored car would be fun, some of them had cannons up to 75mm.
