Wow, this will be very cool. Also, I can't wait for all the Films that Kermit will make from these battles. He could have his own channel, AH combat all day! (call it KTV or FroggyTV)....

The start time of 10PM will cause a great many on EST to miss the event.  Thinking a finish of around 12AM would be to late
for those of us who have to rise at an early hour for work.

I agree with hajo, east coasters already have trouble making it to events

The issue is on the west coast, 9pm EST is 6pm PST and most are not back from work or just got home and can't either.

Yep.  You either have it so that west coasters can't play and east coasters play at a time maximally convenient for them, or west coasters can play (at least ones that get home early enough) and east coasters go to bed possibly late.

Or east coasters that go to bed early play for the first half?

Just not a lot of ways to do it -- one or the other.

UK 8 pm would be great for me and Chewi (Italy), maybe the Finns would have some trouble, it would be 10 pm for them.

If only we had Pershings.

Do not think Pershing's made an appearence on the battlefield until 1945...M10's and Sherman's were the victors in that Battle of US Armor and Infantry Vs German Armor and Infantry.  Was the largest battle between American and German forces in WW2.  Whooped their Arse's.  Go "The Greatest Generation"!

I regretfully miss all the Wed snapshots, I'm in Atlantic time zone, and the snapshots are too late for me, getting up at 6:00am. And now here's another great event series that I'm going to miss.
There are certainly some core players out there that have givin' up on the main arenas "blue on blue" style of fighting, who would love to participate in the events, that are in the same boat as me concerning the lateness.

Is it feasible to run time zone events? I know that these events are run on volunteer efforts  :salute, and wouldn't expect anyone to double up the work load. Perhaps there could be a European and Pacific command?

10 pm is about the best we can do, I think.  Earlier, and west coasters are not back from work yet.

Snapshots and FSO's have already optimized weekday times to come up with late Eastern working best for overall participation.

I participate in FSO's regularly, midnight for me, cause I work Mon-Fri 9-5. However, the beer goggles are usually strapped on pretty good by that point.  :joystick: :uhoh

10pm real starting time is no problem, if the event lasts about two hours. In recent scenarios I have noticed, that they have taken leadership seriously: If you're late, you're out. Tired of checking in half an hour before the announced starting time just to wait for people being persuaded from main arena after due time wasting an hour before everyone's in uniform.

Hmm.  That is actually a very interesting idea.

There is no rule that says we can't run it more than once in the same day.

I think that we should do that!  :aok

I'm guessing aiming for starting somewhere 7-8 pm UK time would work best for Europeans?
