I think the reconsider part is about Dive being banned for life.  Yes Dive screwed up in the worst way!  Ya just don't poke a pissed-off just awakened bear in the eye and expect to get away unscathed.  The really bad thing is that the only winners in this whole deal is those tards that pulled this crap.  They got their 15 minutes of fame and we got a pissed off game designer/developer and lost a good friend to some of us in the process.  Don't get me wrong, I am not supporting the way Dive blew up and letting his frustrations override his usually fun-loving disposition.  I have been flying with Dive for years and can honestly state that this incident is not representative of how he usually acts.  I sincerely hope that Dale can show some mercy in the near future.

All the Best...

Agree.

Thunderegg, he was going over the top on 200 Thursday Night at times.   Those two threads never should have been started, all of us know this. Both players aren't "new" and know the manner in which HTC handles those "incidents".

I believe Diver will be given a 2nd chance, just let him cool off, relax and come back with a clear mind.    Diver was an excellent person to have chatted with while I winged the BoP's.   His esprit de corps was always excellent.

Wow, just wow. I know Diver, I like Diver. He's one of the most standup guys that play the game. Did he meltdown? Without a doubt. Did he have a good reason? Without a doubt. Was it a smart move? That's for Diver to decide.

Personally, I think both could have handled this better.

aaah   Meltdown( :D  :huh :frown:   :t :devil) yes, we at the BoPs HQ are trying to investigate exactly what went wrong :headscratch: When inserting the Atomantium particles into his blood stream we were only trying to make a better pilot :airplane:  In actuality our agent went rogue due to overdose of Starbucks and prescriptive medication that was unforeseeable. eleventy pages!!

Abide by the policies agreed to by playing. Or don't play/post.
HTC can easily make the decision for you as has been shown
now and in the past.  Kind of simple really. Not sure why some
people like to think they're "different" and exceptions can be
made for them

I think it is pretty obvious Diver was taking this game way too seriously. If he could melt down and go off on Hitech, I can imagine what he could do in the MA to someone he doesn't have to worry about.

That is a reprehensible thing to suggest.  Diver's MA behavior has always been outstanding...in fact there was thread recently in which he received a bunch of compliments from his opponents.  I am disappointed by his posting as it has cost me and the squad a valuable FRIEND.  He was truly one of the guys i looked most forward to virtually "hanging out" with.

Not many know this but his recently born son has Down's syndrome.  On squad channel one of the guys unknowingly made a "short bus" type comment and several others made similar quips.  I tried to shut it down quickly but failed.  Diver just laughed it off.  I don't know I would have been so calm.  Suffice to say there were several stuttering BoPs trying to apologize...but again Cameron just brushed it off.  This has been his in-game persona as long as I have known him.  On the boards he seems to lose his cool quickly and I am sorry for that.

I respect Dale/hitech and crew and obviously there must be consequences for violating the rules...I am terribly saddened that it has claimed this long time vet with a lifetime ban from the game he loves and uses as a break from real life.  This has been a hard pill to swallow. :(

First of all the person who was text banned was NOT advertising. Sorry Griz, you got it wrong. Instead of flying over there to see it (why waste the time?) he looked it up on youtube. Someone asked for the link, he posted it. Everyone was spamming the chat about the godforsaken hackers that it scrolled up to quickly so he posted it again along with saying "if you see this happening report it". Which then resulted in a witch hunt and the mass reporting to which he got text banned. I know this because the person who got banned is my wingman, and I was on VOX with him the whole time. The whole situation could have been over and done with if someone had just said "It would violate the EULA" in the BEGINNING of the mess instead of flaming the guy, pissing him off, then telling him. For those of you who know this person, you also know he's a RL pilot. That being said, he did just get back from a tiring flight and was about to log of when this mess happened.

Hacking games happens. Always has, always will. They crave attention anytime they put on such a blatant display as they did last night. Screaming at them, telling them you're going to report them, that you're filming them and such just fuels their ego. When it happens, film it, send it to HTC and let it be done. Watching the chat last night (or night before, sorry it's 4 am here) was like getting the play by play from a squeaker and just as annoying.

I understand that this is a close community. Everyone seems to know everyone. That was one of the factors that decided wether or not I was going to pay for the subscription. To those that led the witch hunt, well done, Mission accomplished, you succeeded in doing absolutely nothing. Kudos to you.

If you feel that you have to flame this post, go right on ahead, here's a Zippo. Wake me when you're done playing Neighborhood Watch. That's my 2 cents, I'm going to bed. To the rest, see ya in the skies.

-MadHat

They WERE advertising the You Tube clips.   No "flames" needed.  You're wrong on this one.

HT even deletes his own posts for violating the rules - now thats thorough :D

Neg.  He probably quoted the post.   If the OP is deleted and others quote it, they will also have their posts removed.

Really, if it happens again just ignore them.  Attention is what they wanted and attention si what you gave them.

Yup.  I mentioned this while the hack was occurring. Some couldn't seem to grasp it.

I taunted them with how bad they were even with their extraordinary advantage.  After the 300th bomb had fallen some guy came in low in an La-7 and the lone remaining auto-ack killed him.   :rofl
