My newest terrain editor keeps crashing!!! I need help!!!

Perhaps some time in the help files? I'm not sure if it still exists, yet a common starting-user error is to forget to go to File>New before playing around with the editor.

Now when I try to find my map... it is gone!!!

And I saved it!!!

When I saved it and then opened it, the map was gone. Nowhere in site.

A detailed description of the problem would assist any attempts to debug your problem. When you say, "map," what are you referring to? The terrain you saved or the map display which would generally appear on the ESC clipboard?

Why not read some of the help files already available? People have spent days setting them up to make your life easier.

Some of the methods may longer work the same as in older times. It should still get you familiar with the layout of things.

Um, I can't erase the water.I did everything the first link told me to do. I am re-downloading the TE. I think it was corropt in downloading the first time. Also, the terrain tab, I can't select anything!

Also, I forgot to add, you don't need to but, can I have a video help, I do better if I have someone showing me what to do. I can live with these paper instruction but, you know, I don't really care.

Where did you install it?

Did you uninstall the old version?

When I find it crashing...after a version upgrade...I uninstall it...then go in and manually remove the remnant files (install logs)...thus a fresh clean install...even going as far as to putting it into a different named location...ya ya ya...probably leaves registry fragments...big deal...if you clean out your reg on a semi-reg basis...

Seems like the AH installer is not up to speed on the TE...got to get rid of those old files and install logs...

Fresh Start == Fresh Install (evaluates to true)

I installed it to "My Documents/ Austin's Folder/ HiTech Creations... Actually, I just hit run. I installed the newest verizon. I did clean out everything about the editors. I need a response ASAP!!!

Instead of removing water, have you attempted to "paint" land then remove the water covering that land? Forgive me if I'm sending you down the wrong track, I haven't played with the TE in a long time.
