Vox trouble
« on: January 10, 2010, 02:42:39 AM »
Just hoped back on tonight after probably a month or two of inactivity and eventually find out that my vox isn't working at all, however, I can hear game sounds perfect. I'm not seeing the wave in messages from people talking even (or whatever its called that pops up in the upper right hand corner). So far I've tried a .resetv, a relog, and a reinstall. None of these have worked, going to try one more reinstall w/o copying settings file as a shot in the dark, but not too hopeful. Anyone else had this problem and been able to address it?

Another strange thing is that during my inactivity I was away from this PC and it went unused by anyone during that time. Not sure why this would spring up now.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Edit: I guess to clarify my problem a bit more, its not that I can't transmit voice. It's that the game doesn't seem to be recognizing people who are transmitting on my channel or range. I upped near a mission and asked them to beep the range channel for me, was told that people had beeped so much that they were told to shut up. I had the chat prompt open and didn't even get a name highlighted, indicating someone was even trying to talk or beep at me.

Can you hear yourself if you tune your channel 5 to your own call sign, and transmit on radio 5?
