The P-40E is all I 

My late uncle was a member of the Flying Tigers in China and I fly it in honor of him and those who served in the AVG.  He was the Communications Officer and after the war he and some fellow members started a Flying Tiger Museum in San Diego.

Where in San Diego?  Lived there for over 25 years and never knew there was one in that town, been to the Flying Leathernecks Museum, the CAF Museum (Gillespi Field) and the Air and Space Museum.  Wish I had known there was a Flying Tiger Museum, would have loved to have gone.

Might be talkin about the Flying Leatherneck museum...the only Flying Tiger museum on record is the one in Florida.

Must be but it wouldn't have a Flying Tiger exhibit, it's only for Marine aviation (at least when I lived down there) and it wasn't started by civilians, it's an official USMC museum located on MCAS Mirimar.

  Can't be of much help in regards to the Flying Tiger Museum in San Diego.  I was stationed south of San Diego in the Border Patrol in 1969 and 1970, and  I remember him stopping by the house and talking about the museum and the work they were doing.

Surely could use a nice P-40 cockpit though.

That makes sense, they do have a small exhibit with a P-40 in AVG colors or at least did when I lived down there.  Haven't been to it since moving up to LA a few years ago.

There also used to be a really small mom and pop museum at Brown Field at the border that I liked going to as a kid, they would let you climb all over and inside the couple of planes they had there.  Think it was a home field for them and would store their planes while not touring with the CAF.  Used to also go there to see the SEALs doing their para training there as well.

Oh, and the P40x, too!     It one of my favorite aircraft to fly.

While were on the subject of the P40 and updating the graphics, I'd like to see the P40N be added!  A bit more speed with the choice of the 4 or 6 .cal gun package.

I am indeed familiar with Brownfield, at least the immediate area as we had a lot of illegal alien "traffic" in that area. 

We used to insert SEALS into both Spring and Deadman's canyon south of Brownfield to "practice" on folks sneaking across the border at night.  They used to turn them over to us "gift wrapped" in duct tape. They were surely happy to see us instead of the SEALS.

I would have liked to have seen the P-40's.  (Bet they had nice cockpits too.)
