Question is, how much stock can USC fans put in Kiffin? I mean this guy like 12-27 as a head coach, granted both teams he coached needed major help. But now he's going to a team, that can pretty much win with ANY coach because of the quality of recruits. So if USC finishes the same or better than Carroll's last season, is it because of Kiffin, or just because of the program over all?
Not saying he's a bad choice, like pointed out before, he knows SC. He was the recruit coordinator during what ESPN called Carroll's "Golden Years". He's bringing his dad with him which definitely is a good thing, and to be honest the guy does know the game pretty well.
Just kind of scary that this guy hasn't done anything as a head coach, and yet he just landed probably the most sought out and desired coaching gig in college football.
As for the "media diversion", I can't see USC even being worried about anything happening next month. If they were; why would they bring in a guy who just had a horrible year for almost the exact same thing that they being investigated for?
