Brewster

Thought I'd share this here, too, after sharing this elsewhere for Finnish Squads.

Since there are no Brewsters nor their engines in running conditions, I had to try to find the closest equivalents I could find for free, modifying the sounds according Wmakers invaluable information based on both technical data and pilot memories.

So this sound is originally a Trojan, which has a slightly bigger version of the Cyclone engine than the Brewster, from a Youtube video taken inside the plane. I slowed down the pace of the sound clip, since the Trojan engine has a higher top RPM. Since the video sound was quite thin, due to poor recording equipment and bandwidth reasons, I beefed it by adding some dB's in the 200 Hz range. It has been documented that the transmission added a circular saw type whine to the engine roar, but after some trial mixdowns I decided to leave it out. The inertia startup sound is from an old Bf-109E startup video, also from Youtube, mixed with the Trojan startup sound. I did my best to make a seamless shift when starting the engine at full throttle.

The EngineStop and Flaps sounds are directly from USRanger's sound pack. They are credited for him, definitely not me: I like his pack very much and used the FM2, being the closest equivalent, as a test plane before the B239 was available. Since this B239 folder is directly from my AH Sounds, it has the FM2 engstop and flaps sounds ready for other RangerSounds users, just because I'm a lazy bastard.

i love the engine start and flaps. I might've just adjusted to the new sounds, but i think the engine sounds like the regular game sounds. But i'll use the Engine start and flaps....Thanks!!
