Awesome racer! If you see a "Batman" in the race, put him in the wall fast! He cheats! :lol
On a serious note: That a great way to bond with your kid. And he's learning things that will stay with him for life. Good dad skills ya got Von!  :aok

Did you put on a few coats of polyurethane and sand it smooth?  Its hard to tell in the picture but it looks like you could get some more aerodynamic qualities out of it if you do over the paint.

Looks great and hope you have fun with your Son.  Good times.   :rock

Basecoat/clearcoat.  About 5 coats of clear.  We were going to compound and wax it, but there wasn't enough time for the lacquer to harden properly (before the race)

Also had to drill out the bottom to make weight (rather drill out than add, as the car is already balanced) so there is a band-aid on the bottom  :)

Got 1st in his den, 2nd overall in the pack.

Districts are in March.

WTG on the win.  Did the car get scratched up in the race?

On the next run put a little graphite powder on the axles, and be sure to de bur the wheels.

Can only lube once.  Right before the race starts, and that's it.....

Axles, and wheels were trued.

He only missed 1st place by .007 seconds

1st place winner was a Hershey bar   :noid
