Acapulco (Dial Up Warning)
« on: January 21, 2010, 10:41:37 PM »
Over Thanksgiving my family visited my parents who are retired.  From mid-Nov. - Mid March they are in Acapulco.   My pop worked on the Line at Ford for 33 years and my mom taught in Detroit for 28 years (one of her students was Larry Foote)

Guest in our Condo

Pilatus PC-7 Trainer of the 204 Air Squadron at Pie de la Cuesta (5 mins South of Playa Luces).  4 of these practiced Formation flying and someone mistook them for P-51's, I knew they weren't and looked it up when we got home.

We're going to be back in Acapulco possibly in January of 2011.  We never had a bad experience and treated everyone how they treated.   I was going to post this in the Haiti thread, but it would have been a waste.   They is too much hate in that thread.   Figured I'd share a little of Karaya's World.   I DID NOT miss playing Aces High for the 10 day trip.

Tired.   I was up late Wednesday morning playing AH, Flight left at 6am, was up at 4 on 2.5 hours of sleep.   :D    My son had the pancakes and those are Orange Juice and Pineapple Juice glasses.   I had a Pacifico later that day for the first time.   Awesome beer and it smokes Corona.

I used to live just south of Acapulco in a little village by Pinotepa National and love that area of Mexico , warm water even in Jan. makes it great . And Pacifico is great beer , try an Indio next time you go its also very good .

If you really want a quality Mexican beer, drink Bohemia.

I like the Negra Modello myself for the Mexican beers, but lately that's even seeming light and watery to me.  I'm on the porters anymore.

Great pics K, looks like you guys had a great time in a beautiful part of the world.  I'm a teeny bit envious.  Glad you had a nice getaway.
