This is not another attempt to get Aces High placed on the list of XFire supported games!
Hello everyone! Recently I've been tinkering with XFire's xfire_games.ini file. Adding Aces High was relatively simple, I simply copied the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 entry, pasted it at the bottom, then edited the entry to include the registry path of the game launcher and some basic information of the game.
[6071]
LongName=Aces High II
ShortName=msfs2k4
LauncherDirKey=HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HiTech Creations\Aces High II\path
LauncherExe=aceshigh.exe
Launch=%UA_LAUNCHER_EXE_PATH% %UA_LAUNCHER_EXTRA_ARGS% %UA_LAUNCHER_NETWORK_ARGS%
InGameRenderer=D3D9
InGameFlags=USE_PRESENT|DISABLE_RELEASE|ENABLE_MOUSE|USE_DINPUT_MOUSE
LobbyGUID={0808caa5-e62c-4691-8957-5d4524b922da}
LobbyType=DP8
The problem, however, exists when attempting to broadcast or use the in-game chat feature. For whatever reason unknown to me, whenever I fly a plane, people watching my broadcast only see a blank (black) screen while only hearing the audio. When I'm in the Tower, O'Club, or the Hangar, people finally receive visual and see precisely what I see. Additionally, whenever I activate XFire in-game chat, the plane goes crazy performing an inverted spin.
What can I change in the xfire_games.ini entry allowing me to use XFire in-game without plane-spinning. Also, what must be changed in the entry to allow broadcasting of my flight so that viewers can actually see it?
NOTE: The short-name was not changed to ensure I could broadcast the game.
