The SDL gives all squadrons who can field a minimum of 6 pilots a chance to experience the exhilarating thrill of a swirling mass of planes.
Even though everyone is in the same plane and at a pre-determined alt cap, I believe it gives a really good example of how a clash of squadrons would have taken place in WW2. They are very intense and last just minutes before the sky is clear once more.
I appreciate your comment was tongue in cheek but every squad in the SDL are playing for the fun and teamwork. Not to stroke egos etc. This is the only conclusion I can reach as to why not every large MA squadron hasn't signed up to the Squad Dueling League because they might fear that it will have some sort of negative effect on their squads reputation if they end up losing badly.
As with indivadual duels in the DA it isn't about that. It is about making friendships and improving your squadron comraderie / teamwork.
So I ask people such as AK's, WidowMakers, POTW, WOT, CLAIM JUMPERS, Swampdragons, 367th etc to take just an hour out of their busy MA schedules maybe once a month to have a duel with another squad and really get the Aces High community behind Squad vs Squad Special events.
IMO and several others these fights have been their most exciting and enjoyable time spent playing.
