Plane's I'd like to see in AH

P-47D bubble canopy

x8 .50 cal machineguns and it dives like the Titanic and it has lots of armor.

B-25H

75mm T13E1 cannon, x8 .50 cal machineguns in the nose, with additional waist, top and rear turret positions + 3x 1000lb bombs.  I figure it might be a damn good raider type aircraft in AH.

Fw 190D-9

Long nosed 190, need I say more?

Bf-110G

Ok, I'll admit it, the name "death trap" hardly suits the 110 in other online sims, but AH is different.  The 110 has a tailgunner, which makes for an interesting opponent.  On the flip side it has a near bottomless supply of ammunition.

A-26B

Lots and lots of guns firing forward (14 maximum), this I like.  Good bomb load as well, fast.  Defensive armament is alright, nothing spectacular.

For the life of me I can't think up a decent british build aircraft that needs to be in the game.  Lancaster maybe, those tail guns definately are intimidating.

You obviously aren't trying hard enough. What about the Mosquito. (FB VI, B XVI, NF30 and FB XVIII would be nice)
Spitfire XIV. (dons asbestos suit)
Tempest.

Major Tom,
you have some confused ideas. No interesting missing RAF a/c? Nashwan reply was too much polite: Spit MkXIVs, clipped wings MkIXs, Tempests ... dont tell anything to you?
In another thread you asked for the gunship B17 ... do we need professional ack-starring?
Man, I hope HTC will think with his own brain.

Now why did you have to go a make a rude discussion out of this.  These where planes I wanted to see in the game, not ones you wanted.

If you feel threatened by my suggestion for heavily armed bombers, large fighters, and incredibly large attack bombers, all capable of reducing mosquito’s and the like to driftwood...

I suggest you go create your own discussion for the wooden wonders.

...and I'd LOVE to see Ack!  Of course for you to attack me in a 190D, or spit, you'd have to call off the ack, or take the same chances as me.  And for the tankers, firebases, landmines, and artillery strikes are all A-OK in my book.

Though with more powerful German aircraft in AH it will become blatantly apparent why the British lost their cat an mouse catch-up game with Kurt Tank.

I disagree with you only about ack-starring (even the USAF abandoned the gunship B17) and the lack of good RAF fiters.
I want the D-9 and the P-47D as well. And look, I'm not so sure that British will lose the race with Kurt Tank here and in any other sim.
There are a lot of very interesting threads about Focke-Wulf effectiveness here and in the real life. Take a look at them. No rude discussion here. BTW, I'm an axis pilot

I'd like to see the He-162 Volksjager (or however you spell that) "People's Fighter".

It DID fly in combat in WW2, and it shot down 1 british fighter (what else could it hit? hehe) 2 days before the war ended.

It would be an interesting addition to this game =D

Check ay of the topics on the Spit XIV and you will see most people are against it because it is too Uber. That isn't the case with warious FWs, which people feel will slot in perfectly with the current plane sets.
I would also like to give you a quote, since many people feel only those who flew the planes in combat truly know their capabilities.
Jerry Scutts, quoting German pilots in his book "JG 54": "The Jagflieger had to keep a wary eye out for enemy fighters, particularly Spitifres, a type JG 54's pilots had developed a particular averson to...Pilot reflections do not, surprisingly enough, reflect over-much respect for the Mustang or Lightning, both of which the Germans reckoned their Fockes were equal to - unless they were met in substantial numbers

Yes it did fly at the end of WW2, but the kill you are talking about was uncomfirmed. Watching History channel is good (they had a program about late war LW projects on Sunday evening and said there that it had a recorded kill, so I assume that's where you obtained that information), but there is no substitude for good books.

And the yb40 gunship would make a great addition to the game. If it could carry a few 250s. The USAAF cachiered it for reasons that dont apply here. (course they wanted it for something that doesnt apply in
AH as well.)

ROFL!!!!!!!!

With more powerful British aircraft (e.g. Spitfire Mk. XIV, Tempest Mk. V) it will become blatantly apparent why the Germans lost the WAR!
