When you get to Return of the Jedi it might be that time to talk about the birds and the bees when he asks about that tingle he's feeling.

Put it away before you hurt yourself, or worse, someone else...

I played with mine to long, ended up with a three year old, a growth on my wallet and a mortgage payment.

I guess it wasn't so bad, I did get a beautiful kid out of the deal!

I thought you said it was a growth on your wallet, growths aren't very attractive from what I have seen...

I don't believe I've seen the entire first star wars myself  :(  I went 2,5,6,1,3. lol

As a devout Star Wars nerd, I can say with certainty, go IV, V, VI, I, II, III

Ahh a question I've pondered many times. I'd go with the original trilogy so he can take it in the same way the rest of the world did. Also a six year old might get a bigger kick from the explosions/eyecandy in the prequels, leaving him without the desire to sit through them old movies.

Is it your 6-year-old?  If not, then do an experiment for us, and start at 1, and find out the reaction, and report back here.

Now that is a good idea.

No he's not mine, nothing to do with me at all other than I know his mother.  Good idea boiler, I'll let you know......

Original trilogy first by all means.

I just wish Lucas hadn't been a lazy SOB and that he'd given us all 9 episodes as they were originally planned.

I'd just show them the rolling text at the beginning of each movie.

But but but, if you are removing the Muppets, then what about all that storyline in Episodes V and VI that we have to skip! What would The Empire Strikes Back be without Yoda?

Save the kid the nightmares.  Explain to him/her that episodes 1-3 do not exist, the cartoons do not exist, the only Star Wars ever made were episodes 4, 5 and 6.
