AH Game Pack
« on: February 08, 2010, 11:20:49 AM »
Was playing Medal of Honor and thought it would be pretty cool if AH had a CD out where you 1vs1 the computer in different scenarios.
Each level can progress starting from say...Mission-1 take off from one field and land at another, resupply base "X" or whatever. Try to beat the computer by learning basic ACM before heading to the cauldron of the MAs.
Lets face it, this game is really difficult to learn and most don't go easy on noobs so its very intimidating. Perhaps this option would promote better game play by giving others confidence when they play or it could go the other way. Tell me what you think. just my opinion

This is available in the offline training missions. The list of training missions just needs to be filled out.

I've been playing for 18 months now and still cant figure out what to do with the offline missions, I like aeroplanes not computers. I feel this would be a good idea for new people to come to terms with the game. A couple of easy missions with text instruction, i.e "press g to raise gear" etc. would save a lot of grief for new and old players alike.
No thank you Turkish, I'm sweet enough.

Part of the problem is that AH is still growing so fast. Every time a major change happens all the tools have to be rebuilt.
This includes the mission editor. Plus the old missions won't work anymore. Converting all those old missions to the new format so they will work is a huge undertaking. Working out all the bugs takes a tremendous amount of time and talent.

Granted there could perhaps be a better AH Wiki entry or other page for telling exactly how to setup and fly an offline mission. Personally  I really miss the old offline missions. There was some very good stuff there.

That being said I wouldn't trade this AH for anything.
HTC is constantly trying to improve, perfect, and polish what is in my opinion the best online sim out there.

Can't fault them for that.

FYI offline mission forum is there for anyone needed help.
