RIP Captain Phil
« on: February 10, 2010, 12:53:35 AM »

"It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dad -- Captain Phil Harris. Dad has always been a fighter and continued to be until the end. For us and the crew, he was someone who never backed down. We will remember and celebrate that strength. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers. -- Jake and Josh Harris"

Sad news.

Damn, very sad...i never missed a single season of the deadliest catch, and phil was one of my favorite captains.

After the go around with the blood clot and telling his sons that he was basically living one day at a time, I had a bad feeling about it...I guess i hate to say that it happened.

My condolences to his sons and family, as well as the crew  :salute

Damn, I didnt watch it all the time. But when I did. He was my favorite.

When I think of a sea captain. Capt. Phil is the type of character I envision.

RIP. Sad day for his family. I hope his kids take better care of themselves than he did. You can't live on Red bull and cigs for weeks at a time.

Fair winds and calm seas Captain.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN

Do not stand at my grave and weep.

I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on the ripened grain.

I am the gentle Autumn's rain.

When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry.

I am not there, I did not die.

He always seemed like that guy that you wanted to know, who you knew was a lot of fun, and if he was your friend would be fiercly loyal,  sad news indeed

<S> Capt Phil
