Any military members wanna share some pics?
« on: February 10, 2010, 05:04:49 PM »
I was just on youtube and watching the Warrior Song which has been posted on the forums a bit ago, but i noticed that the creator of the video is looking for good Pictures and videos that are of all the branches in the military because he plans on making a video for each branch, i sent him a email with some good ones i have found on the internet since i don't have any personal experience yet. he asked if i knew anyone who might wanna contribute. the song and video are on sale on there official site and all proceeds go the helping the troops

If any of you have good pictures or video from when you were in the military if you could post them here i'll send them to him and i'd make sure u'd get credit.

You know what the problem is, anything more than 5-6 years ago is all 35mm or other! There are so many great pictures now from just the simplest point and shoots, anything from days gone by is just so grainy.

I have so many good shots that I took (I always kept a small Fuji 35mm in my flak vest)  but, no matter what they don't scan well and the negatives have been mostly lost to time
These are from the Tanker Wars of the mid-late 80's that my wife scanned for me.

Obviously none of these are what you are looking for but, it's fun to share anyway!

I forgot I had this one, it's always been one of my favorites. We used to "F" with the Soviet Navy quite a bit (buzz their anchorage, chicken and so on).

FFG's have a manual overide targeting system on the weather decks for the Main gun in case CiC goes down. Anyways, I swung the manual sights on this Soviet DDG and took the pic.
