I didn't get it.

It's from the Hitchhiker's Guide books.  You'd have to read the books for it to really make sense and hit home for you.  Great books though, well worth reading.  That's one of the beauties of shirts like that, is that most people won't get it.  Then it's like your own personal inside joke.
