..... you know hitech took the Bf109G10 away from us.....that it was once here before....... and we ended up with the Bf109G6 & the Bf109G14, if my memory serves me correctly ......... those Bf109G10's was just to UBER 
Way I recalls it, we already had us a G6 n without the cockpit bars, and it had the 30mm option.
The 109F4 had a GONDS option.
Then someone started whining?
And we now have bars n no 30mm in the G6, and NO GONDS on the F4, and a semi-neutered dumbed down LW?
IMHO we are insulting many of the Allied pilots that flew against the LW AND cheating everyone in AH by NOT creating good competitive LW rides, which IMHO a G10 or the A/S versions would HELP create!
I get the impression that way too many think the Allies simply walked all over the LW. AND that just isn't the case. NUMBERS made a BIG difference! And even with those numbers the allies lost MANY pilots!
IT WAS NOT EZ FOR THE ALLIED PILOTS MANY DID NOT RETURN TO BASE. Ya the pony is/was a great plane BUT the 109G10 out turns it! In fact in an older article Flight Journal 2 of the well known (one died in that 38 accident later) test pilots actually flew a G10 against a pony D and BOTH said the ONLY advantages the pony had over the G10 was SPEED and DIVE! The G10 out turned it, out rolled it, and out climbed it! There was also an excellent article in Flight Journal about an F6F vs a 190 and MANY were surprised at just how long the 190 was able to engage the F6F and how well it preformed against the F6F!
But I grant OUR G10 was MEAN! As it was actually a K4, Although IMHO it wasn't really all that UBER
Your flyin style made a BIG difference with the G10. IMHO What made it do so well was so many of the LAZY want a quick fix pilots that REFUSED to get alt! You know the ones always crying about how the the 30K alt monkeys are so unfair. The ones that always fly into a fight low and get picked so often it's silly!
Used to have some GREAT fights HIGH alt against people like Chanzz in his yak and that CHEATER* JB11 in his G10, can't think of the names of all the BETTER sticks that came up after you in ponys and 38s and even a few flyin jugs, and engaged at 20k or so! GREAT FIGHTS! AND if you were packin the gonds in your G10... welllll, ya better be shootin n scootin and workin for solution cause you was in for it! Of course a lot of em MUST of been CHEATING*!!!

And of course there was the BOMBER BULLY 999000! Me and him used to exchange fire in some GOOD fights! Although I think he was CHEATING* TOO!

* CHEATER or CHEATING = they shot me down more then I shot them down so they HAD TO BE CHEATING!
