Iobit ASC Pro vs Free?

If any of you here are familiar with Iobit's Advanced System Care, would you recommend upgrading to the Pro version? I have the Free version, and it has worked wonderfully for me, but I'm not sure if it would make an even bigger difference if I upgraded. There seem to be more options and Iobit SAYS it does 2x+ better then the Free version, but we all know how companies exaggerate their own products...

Pro version is lots better, I installed the pro version on both my parent's PC's......

is at something  version 3.4 now or is that 4.3? or tad higher since recent updates......

it works very well for them, but they both over 64 yrs old, not to puter literate, and this is used along with ESET SS4

I tried the trial/free version to begin with...it was ok.......

I use the free version, along side, Microsoft security essentials, and Threatfire.

I bought the pro version and to be honest only advantage is to be able to clean up the process automatically, which you can do on your own by looking at blackvipers website.  I think the other free registry cleaner (I forget the name) is just as good as the pro version of iobits.

theres essentially no difference between them............ if you have the free you have everything you need......... if you want the pro and want to save a bit of money....

giveawayoftheday.com offers the pro version for free every couple of months....... just keep an eye out as the software changes everyday on there

There is at least 4 to 5 or more things minimum you get with the pro version over the free version.......

go thru and try to click on the different things in the free version, it will tell you you need to upgrade to the full version....

do your research.....

Registry Deep Clean   (free cleans your registry but uses regular shampoo)
Ultimate System Speedup  (free speeds up your system but only to super deluxe)
Enhanced Disk Defrag  (free will defrag but it wont enhance it for ya)
Autmated Care when Idle (no brainer there)
Scheduled PC Care  (ok then why do I need it while idle)
Automated Privacy Sweep (isnt this what the last 2 things just said)
Fast Automatic Update (free only offers the slow automatic update I guess)
Free Technical Support (ok you got me there is some feature that you pay to get free)
Exclusive System Tools (these are all freeware on their site just bundled in the Pro)
Consent for Commercial Use (ok if youre using it for business then fine)

so if you want to pay the $19.95 to use it commercially or get free technical support then I suppose its worth the money.......... otherwise you are getting the EXACT same product (other than the free version doesnt bundle all their other FREEWARE in with it)

if you do not, then how do you know what the differences are?

I guess everyone can use your "empirical data" and figure that the Free is just as good as the Pro perhaps?


personally for me, I don't use it on my own PC.. but it is an "OK Investment" for those who are less knowledgeable and after a while you will not be able to update unless you buy the Pro Version.....

the free version was used for several months before deciding to upgrade to the pro version for them....

works good for people like my 64+ year old parents, might not be worth purchasing for GEEKS.......

yes I have the Pro version installed on one of my comps........ as I mentioned above....... its given away free every couple of months......... and there is no difference

The only good thing/ real difference with the Pro edition is there are a few options not available with the free version like the PC optimization. The free version will only allow you to do a basic opt to your comp, the Pro version lets you go to a higher level of opt for you needs like "high performance" for gaming and stuff. There are a few others. Another difference I have found, Iobit puts these free versions out and when an updated version comes out, you have to upgrade to the Pro version or you can't get the updated data like the updated spyware definitions. I have been using Iobits ASC Pro for years, well since ASC originally was AWC (Advanced Windows Care) or visa versa. I feel its a great program with the added benefits of "RAM booster" and the optional "Game Booster" which you can DL from Iobit separately.

If you do a search, you can find a free copy of the Pro version out there,  *cough* *cough*,  not that I condone pirated torrent files or anything.
