How about another alternative to the C47?

Lets get a JU152, or a C54, or something different...by doing this, there should be no shortage of goonie drivers if you give us/them some choices..

YES FOR THE LOVE OF GOD YES PLEASE!

Their are a number of cool transports that would do nicely, and some would be real easy for HTC to do like the Tabby the Japanese vershion of the C 47 licenced and produced in Japan(it was also a little faster than a C 47), they put GUNS on thier transport, imagine just having even one 13mm MG to defend your plane my god would that be cool  :)

Ju-290/390 or -252 would be nice thought easiest to made could be copy of C-47,Lisunov Li-2, with dorsal turret with one mg and AFAIR one mg in each side of plane   :)

Anyway Ju-290 was capable to transport troops and haul bombs (at least 1500kg).

This is a great idea but would be easier to justify if transport pilots had more missions than simply dropping troops.

MiG

I like it... resupply missions.  Ammo down at a base? A couple of transports could re-supply. Radar down? A transport could fly in spare parts for repair. We could have perk transports... Constellations capable of carrying the load of 2 or 3 C-47s.  The possibilities are interesting.

The C-46 Commando would be a great addition.  Not too different, but at least it would allow a choice, and maybe some redundant troops in case a few "don't make it" since it's cargo capacity would be greater than the c47's.

Let's try this one more time...

Also, what about the Lockheed Lodestar for the speed freaks out there!

The Japanese 64-troop carrying one mentioned above would be great AND the Me-323  would be AWESOME if gv players could "roll" their GV's inside the plane and have some other player transport them to the battlezone!!!

The idea of using them planes to ferry cargo to shorten base rebuild time has been discussed in other threads.. I dont know why AH doesnt have this option, it would so enchance the game with so little effort  :)

Same idea as TAC, ur VH is dead at your base, if you can sneack in your big nosed cargo, you can drop/roll a couple of FPs from ur belly. Up to people to man them, else they stay to be destroyed by Jabos. :D
Dat jugs bro.

I think Brady and Staga got the best solution - Japaneese and Russian versions of DC-3 are soooo easy to do. Add a Ju-52 (c'mon guys, get real - Me323?   ) and we have transport planes for all fronts  :)
