Best TV show ever

Hey all, by my reckoning even though it had the largest empire in history and the most miraculous military triumphs. Britains best achievements are in television.

Three iconic shows tell me so and they are :



Dr Who!!!



Men who need no introduction unless its by llama's



and the three luckiest men in history.

Now its your turn, send in nominations for best TV show ever made. Majority wins (side note if its anything with Paris hilton or something in that sort of vein in it consider it disqualified)

The only shows that if one's on I really get excited about are Top Gear, the Daily Show, MPFC, South Park and the Colbert Report...

'How it's Made' gets honorable mention, because it's made in Canada, has awesome *cough* background music, and is so boring but strangely fascinating.
Sometimes Antique Roadshow UK is on BBC America when I get home from school and for whatever reason I could probably sit and watch that for hours...

Hmm, my favorite TV shows:

NCIS
The Daily Show
Corner Gas (for the short time I could watch it)

I guess this may not qualify for "best ever made" but I like em!  :aok

Oh and just to clarify, I'm talking about the original NCIS not the LA one.

It's always sunny in Philadelphia is currently my favorite, however I own the DVD's and have never watched it as a regular TV show. Maybe not the best show ever, but the best one right now. Does that count?


Tour of Duty was a good show when I was younger. I'd be interested to see if it is as good as I remember.

Samurai Jack, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Jeeves and Wooster (Hugh Laurie, but as a British twit!), Frasier, and 30 Rock...how to narrow it down... :headscratch:

Both Battlestar Galacticas were pretty good, as was Star Trek: The Next Generation.
