Don't get it for any of the consoles or the PC if you're running Windows XP.  The game is ugly as sin in DirectX 9 and on the consoles, however, running on a PC with DirectX 11 the game looks fantastic and really does make the game a lot better.

If you've got Windows 7 with a DX 11 compliant video card, buy AvP. It was designed and developed for DirectX 11 and it makes great use of the DirectX 11 features. It really is like the difference between night and day when comparing AvP in DirectX 9 or on any of the consoles.

I just d/l Crysis (for the MWLL mod) and pre-ordered Heavy Rain on the PS3. Wife-ack won't like me to buy another game - besides all the boardgames that came in the last few weeks...  :O

But Win7 and Radeon5770 cry for some Dx11 beauty - was almost tempted to get Dirt2 just for the eye candy...

I'm running on 280 (dx10 / win7) and game runs / looks just fine. So far I only tried 3-4 missions as Alien, but game seems very enjoyable. It reminds me a lot of old AvP... :devil

Playing as predator has to be the most fun. Alien is a hoot, but playing a human is a bit dull.

Are you serious?  Do you work for Rebellion?

AVP is probably the biggest pile of dog watermelon Ive played in years.

i have it on PS3 and the campaigns are pretty repetetive, but the multiplayer is pretty cool.

Heavy Rain is another game I'm looking forward to playing, hope it's just as good, if not better than Indigo Prophecy.

Bleh - the AvP demo only supports Dx9 - what a disappointment. The is fun though... only played Alien so far and got my acid a** handed over to me.

The Heavy Rain demo oth was great! Made me pre-order actually since I was on the fence before that.
