What exactly is a Pretetor?

I'm surprised with such simple bait you were able to actually reel one in very quickly.

My kid just downloaded the demo and I was laughing so hard...Aliens running up the walls and on the ceiling.  Killing with it's tail.  But the best was when I saw my kid as Predator grab a human and rip his skull and backbone out!

I hate violence...where my P51!  lol

It's a crazy game, a lot of variables can decide the outcome in the free for all game.

I just logged after I had two pred's started whoring the plasma cannons and working together in a free for all game. It was so overpowered! Nothing any of the Aliens could do to stop them!

My best moment was throwing the preds circular saw halfway across the map and getting a kill on one Alien, just as the circular saw return I was set upon by another, only to have the saw kill him halfway into being trophy killed. :lol

Not a bad game in all. There's still some major balances issues to be solved, mainly the Preds plasma cannon as there's honnestly no skill with that weapon!

Are you serious?  Do you work for Rebellion?

AVP is probably the biggest pile of dog watermelon Ive played in years.

Why don't you like it? Do you play CODMW2 a lot? That is a game I can't stand.

AVP is pretty violent, which isn't a bad thing in my book = )

And if you compare it to COD then don't bother trying it, you will be disappointed. This isn't the same type of game as COD.

Predators are easy to kill, just don't bull run charge at them, sneak up on them.

Both Preds in the above post were in the massive loading zone, backs to the walls and had all the enter point covered.

Im not sure what COD has to do with anything but the original AVP, released 10 years ago, is 10 times better.

Embarrassingly clunky controls.
No need for fire discipline (endless full auto = no recoil).
No ability to crouch?
Visuals are something out of 1998.

I have no idea how this game is fun for some people.  Even the majority of the rags give it failing ratings.

Talk about wasting such a fantastic franchise with such a worthless effort.  Honestly, we must be playing two different games or something because this one is nothing short of absolute garbage.  I cant even word that as a personal opinion.  Its crap.

Many years ago, Aliens Online used to be on Gamestorm and exactly what you described was the best tactic for the Marines against the Aliens.  My friends and I would find a small corridor and stand back to back, with two covering each direction and just hold our position until we killed all of the Aliens on the level that would try and zerg rush us.  You'd see whines from the Alien players being spammed in chat but it was an effective tactic against the Alien zerg blitz and we never had our position over run.  Too bad Mythic didn't know what to do with the game, it really was good and a few years ahead of its time.

It's awesome game to play for 30 mins, not sure if I'll buy it though.

Playing as the Pred is so much fun, but it takes a lot of control input to stay alive and get kills.

Playing as the Alien seem to take the most skill to play effectively, but a skilled player can tear up the whole map with it's huge speed advantage over the other races.

I don't know why, but I find playing the Marine really easy, must be because I'm use to playing a lot of FPS games.
