If you are into lounge type music, check out Richard Cheese (if you havent already)

Hes been around for awhile now, they take alot of "popular" music and perform them in a lounge setting.

Hehe, Estes, if you read my post right above yours, I said almost word for word the same thing in there.  That Richard Cheese is great man!

Any classic punk fans here?  I've been listening to the Clash's "D.O.A." a lot recently.  It's mostly demos and live stuff from around the time of their first album and it's pretty great.
It's aimed more at the completists as it has multiple versions of the same songs and some studio chatter but some real interesting stuff.

You can see also how some songs were built from the ground up as some of the early versions don't have the backing vocals the finished versions have.  But all of the demos here can stand on their own, highly recommended for the Clash fan.

Shiv, if you like the Clash, you'll probably like that Gogol Bordello.   They're what Joe Strummer would be if he's been raised as an eastern European Gypsy.  It's good stuff!

Phatzo, you're the first person I've seen bring up Infectious Grooves in a long while man.  I always dug them quite a lot.  And Zappa, well, that man was a genius.

Way to go on the Infectious Grooves ref man, brought a smile to my face.

80's?  Kids.

Try the 60's.  That was a great decade in music.  That was rock-n-roll.  Oh yeah.

I like classical as well.  The Wife and I are going to listen to the Dallas Symphony do Pink Floyd in a couple of weeks.  Should be interesting.

The doors, Zeppelin, The rolling stones, Beatles, The Who, T.Rex, Kansas, Supertamp, Stealers Wheel, Steppenwolf, Norman Greenbaum, Beach Boys, INXS, Journey, Foreigner, and Electric Light Orchestra
