speaking of cannons,,,,, how about making the early model p51 , the one that had 4x20mm cannons but the cra**y gringo engine.

That wasn't a p51. That was an RAF plane    the Mustang Mk1A .

The width of one cartridge of Type99mk2 is almost 28.25mm.
(It contains a belt link.)

The width of ammo bin of primary gun is 565mm.
19 or 20 cartridges can be stored in the width 565mm.
So,200 cartridges can be stored if they are piled up 10 or 11 times.

The width of ammo bin of secondary gun is 960mm.
33 or 34 cartridges can be stored in the width 960mm.
So,250 cartridges can be stored if they are piled up 7 or 8 times.

These calculations correspond to the chart of the official manual.
