Irn Bru in America?

Mate of mine just moved to Chicago.

She's completely addicted to Irn Bru, personally I think it's the spawn of the devil and can't stand the stuff but I said I'd find out from those in the know (you lot) if it's indeed possible to buy in the States.

I love that stuff...not in America though so I couldn't answer your question....You can't get it in NZ....unless ...you have a mate from the Scotland who has family visiting.... great hangover cure that drink

Local British Food stores usually stock it or will get it in for you if you ask for it. Tell your mate to find hers, there's bound to be one in Chicago. It will be a life line when she feels a bit home sick or just when she's fed up of US bacon, which is rubbish, frankly.

It's sold at only one place in Chicago and it's a gas station, a BP Amoco on 288 W. Fullerton Ave, Chicago.  Hopefully that's not too far from where she moved to.

Local British Food stores usually stock it or will get it in for you if you ask for it. Tell your mate to find hers, there's bound to be one in Chicago. It will be a life line when she feels a bit home sick or just when she's fed up of US bacon, which is rubbish, frankly.

It is not as good as Brit bacon or Canadian bacon...but it is still bacon.  Shame on you for calling it rubbish.

Most British shops will sell it. Along with Jaffa Cakes, Rich-Tea biscuits, Tetley tea-bags and other such core essentials.

Also check out any Indian shops - they often have British sections.

Depending on what neighborhood she is living in, these are not very close to the city itself.  Probably 2 hour round trip from downtown at least.  She would have to bring a car with a lot of room in it so she could stock up. 
The Fullerton BP station listed on the site does not exist that address is near the zoo.  And I checked the number listed with the bad address on the web site and it is not a BP either. 
However 2808 W Fullerton is a BP station but it is not really a neighborhood I would expect to find British imports.

Maybe up on Devon avenue where there are a lot of Indian stores but it is a mix of Middle Eastern and Asian fare so it could be a crap shoot.

The manager from the BP gas station at 2800 W Fullerton ave. Chicago, IL called me back today to let me know "we have tons of Irn Bru."

If your friend is going to be living in the city itself, more specifically near downtown or the Lincoln Park and Lake View neighborhoods,  she won't have too far to go.  Send her the address so she can Google it when she gets here.  Its about a 2 block walk(5 minutes) North of the blue line EL at California ave.

For anyone in the area that's near/in Logan Square not too far from the Congress Theater.
