first flight with wolfala
« on: February 22, 2010, 06:35:34 PM »
I took my first flight with wolfala.  I'm a little late posting the video due to my Dad having open heart surgery.

I had a great time.  Had a smile on my face I couldn't wipe off for a week.

Good man Alex!   V, you're a former squaddie and I'm truly glad for ya.   I've yet to take my first flight.  One of these days I will.

I'll be thinking of your pop.   I hope recovery is going good for him.    :rock

My Dad is doing better.  He has one more surgery to go March 5th.  We are hoping this is the last one.  This stuff coming out about the diabetic medicine (spelling might be wrong) advantian and giving people heart attacks is real interesting thing being my Dad was on it.

Aircraft is $145 per hour.
Gas budget roughly for 40 per hour
Instructor 110 per hour

Vic wasn't charged except for the gas we used b/c we had a good ol' time.

hes not a CFI, but he has a 140, and we might get a 150 here pretty soon. We have a friend that would be teaching me and is giving me a discount because he is in my CAP squadron (he is a senior member)

he uses the 140 to fly down to brownsville for business, the 150 would be mine. im just not old enough to get a loan so my dad has to put the loan in his name, and ill send him a check for the loan amount every month

edit: Serenity gonna be flyin with me this summer, whether he likes it or not (cause i gotta have someone that knows what they are doing in the plane)
i just soloed a couple weekends ago, and lets just say that the airstrip is "interesting"

Those are good prices for Cirrus - my school is considerably more than that for the SR-22's. On the other hand, our instructor prices are about half what you charge so it probably balances out. Guess you are worth whatever people will pay for you  :D
