Try upping the Dampening on your joystick in game. I Also had a X52 Flight system for 3 years and after putting up with a bent spring for the last year I finally bought a new X52 Pro Flight system. Its a little stiffer than what im used to (thats what she said  :aok) but hoping to log some hours in the next week or so to ge back in the saddle of my P38.

Do you have that plugged into an externally powered USB port? Or just into the computer?

Have the LED's turned down/off?

X52's are power hogs, once they run a little short they tend to lose their brain.

Try disconnecting the stick from the computer, reboot, once computer is fully up reinstall stick.
Calibrate in windows first! then again in AH.

If its still iffy, then add damping to each axis as needed.
Chances are your going to be looking at a new stick in the near future.
But there is a chance that removing it, reinstalling it will straighten it out.

Good luck.

how do you do this? I've never found anywhere to calibrate my X52 outside of AH :headscratch:

Control Panel>Game Controllers>Select joystick>Properties I believe.   There you'll see a Calibrate button.

In control panel, Game controllers, then the properties tab, that should pop up a new window.
Then the settings tab on the new window, Calibrate button.

yup the new window is the "Saitek X52 Pro Flight Controller Properties", with tabs for Test, Deadzones, LEDs, MFD and About. No settings tab or calibrate button :headscratch:

You might check for spiking too since it was fine for 3 years.

The test area is the calibration. Just move the stick and throttle in its full range of movements to calibrate it. No button to click. You'll notice when the test screen comes up, the indicators (red lines) for the axis's won't exactly be true until you move the stick around. I only calibrate my X52 in-game. Found it works better than calibrating in Windows and AH both. Try the Saitek calibration wipe utility. It will erase any and all calibration files for your Saitek stick so you can get a clean calibration file. You can DL it from the Saitek web site or search it here on the AH forums, that where I found it first. If you can't find it, I'll see if I still have it and post up a link for it in this thread.

Good luck.  :salute
