You missed the joke Bustr.  The Spit LFIXe and the Spit LFXVIe are identical.  Only the manufacturer of the engine is different as the IX had the Rolls Merlin 66 while the XVI had the Packard Merlin 266.  Same performance.  Switch the engines in an IX and XVIe and one becomes the other.  Same airframe, same performance.  You could clip or have standard wings on both. The E wing was the same on both as they came off the same production lines.  It was about a 15 minute effort to switch wing tips.

As for the XII, you don't want to get me started

That, and the critical altitudes of our Spitfire Mk XVI in AH indicates it actually has a Merlin 66 instead of a Merlin 266 and so it is, in fact, actually a Spitfire LF.Mk IXe already.

Yup the FTH of the XVI is 1000ft to low, but it is spot on for an LF.IXe .

I think the Mk VIII, Mk XIV and Mk XVI in AH have you pretty well covered.

Also, you might want to work on your ability to present a logical and compelling argument.  Just stating that "we need" something without supplying the evidence to support that claim is entirely useless.

It's why I don't worry about the Spit XII coming to AH in a hurry as the XVI has similar performance.  Would I like the XII and a full span wing LFIXe?  Sure.  Do we need em?  Not before lots of other stuff gets here first.

Not sure we need anything considering the lineup of planes we have already, but there are certainly cartoon airplanes that would fill more important roles in the game then another Spit...and I love Spits

The Spitfires in the game are OK just none of them can really kill bombers,in small amounts yes in large though not so much plus.When will we get a new Spitfire there all good just need some new British fighter,when you think about it theres not allot.

Ok then there is no issue as to what good bomber killer the Brits have in AH...but I always thought the F.Mk II had better maneuverability and climb rate.

Ours is just fine actually..... But most people don't realize that there is a specific burn order for the fuel tanks to use.............

The climb chart for a Mossie is at 22,221 pounds.  I up 75% fuel with 2000lbs of ord and it is just about there.  So upping a Mossie for buff hunting is going to climb much better than the chart suggests..

And it turns quite well under 18,000lbs.
