The German Army major supply depot & staging area (v30) located North of Kaiserslautern, along with a supporting Luftwaffe airfield (A34) located NW of Kaiserslautern were taken by allied forces this day with moderate opposition on the part of the Axis forces. Additionally, the Axis forces failed to make good on their thrusts to take the town of Aachen (v35) or a nearby Allied airfield (A75) this day, primarily owing to the interdiction efforts of Typhoon squadrons flying interdiction strikes on troop barracks and ammunition bunkers.
