Can we change the Seafire to a Spit VIII then?  It would increase parity between the a/c without affecting the GV war one iota.

the spit8 cant drop bombs, the G2 can. i need a plane that can drop a single 500lb'er. im just keeping it even as far as bombing abilities go.

Jaeger,

Consider this as well. A single 500 lb bomb will not stop a Tiger tank [Period]. You have to be dead on to track it much less scratch the paint.

All the Axis needs to do is up a bunch and Allied air cover becomes useless.

How about the Fw190A [5,8] or F-8 VS P-51B

The 190 can carry a single 1000 pounder and the Pony can carry two 500s. The only Allied aircraft I can think of that can carry a single 1000 pounder and have a decent dogfight would be the F4U-1 and 1A Corsair. But that would be out of theater.

Just food for thought...
