A8 and air rockets

While flying B24's had a 190-A8 in on me from my 6 and fire a rocket. Then he proceeded to fire 3 more for a total of 4. But there is only a max of 2 on A8's. Sorry I didn't have film running at the time.

You sure he wasn't an F-8 firing air-to-ground rockets at you? Did you actually see them "burst" into puffs? Or did they just sail past you, never exploding?
