Those are good prices for Cirrus - my school is considerably more than that for the SR-22's. On the other hand, our instructor prices are about half what you charge so it probably balances out. Guess you are worth whatever people will pay for you  :D

How are the new rules in the Hudson shaking out?

The Hudson rules are actually the one piece of legislation that I honestly believe makes sense. Segregating the non-talking transitory traffic from the traffic maneuvering and talking makes sense.

I took my first flight with wolfala.
I had a great time.  Had a smile on my face I couldn't wipe off for a week.

I flown with him as well, really enjoyed it.
For thous of you who are currently looking for a flight instructor I must say Wolfala is one of the best I flown with, and I flown with many different ones (more than I can count on one hand). During the little time we spend together he tough me things that no other instructor has ever mentioned, for example how to properly inspect the airframe. Most other instructors just show what a good airframe is supposed to look like and do not explain what to look for, while Wolfala took me around the airport showing what exactly I should look for. And this example is just from the top of my head because I think about it every day I do my pre-flight, of course there were other things it would just take to long to list them all  ;)

So if anyone is looking for an instructor I recommend you take a flight with him.

That's awesome - the view is quite different from what I'm used to seeing, lots of buildings to look at, and the Statue of Liberty!

$110 an hour for an instructor seems very pricey.

I see $40 to $50 an hour for an instructor at a flight school around Atlanta.

I'm thinking it's different for you though since you're instructing in your own airplane?
