We stumbled into a group of high P-40s a sector or so SSE of A46 and engaged them in our hoopty I-16s. Was a heckuva fight but we kept it together and in the end all the P-40s were in the drink that didn't continue on North. We lost Joker who got caught low. TC went to help him and took 4 of theTomahawks down. WTG! I was really surprised how well the Rata's held up vs the P-40Bs. We thought it was a death trap goin in having basically never flown it. The Rata impressed us.
