« on: March 10, 2010, 10:41:37 PM »
I just bought a new computer becasue my other computer finally kicked the can.

i bought a compaq presario.

it has way more mem , ram, and better videocard than i had in my other computer.

it also came with window's 7.

i downloaded AcesHigh and when i double click on it to run it it brings up like its ganna run then stops and gives me a error message saying that AcesHigh has stoped running and it cant give me a reason for why.

can any of yall help me please.

( i found one thread about windows 7 and aceshigh. well i right clicked and changed it to Windows 98/Windows ME and tried to load in then and it still gives me the same thing. )
( I even moved it out of my progam folder like it said too. )

That video card is about as low as you can get.  Only the Intel video chip is a worse performer.

That said.  I need to see the actual DXDIAG output as there is information that will help.  Please email it to me.

The only problem with onboard video cards is the memory, you don't have slated memory for it. Your best option is maybe go out and buy a inexpensive video card abd install it.

To make it easier to understand (if I'm right at explaining in laymens terms)..its like a toggle switch in the computer bouncing back and forth between the memory and the video memory and if you don't have the slated memory for the video card then you get nothing... So you might want to get a 512 mb video card with its own internal memory and try that.. Just my opinion...
